Finding Yourself

A lot of people seem to be intensely interested in finding themselves, in discovering what makes them tick, in seeking out that which makes them feel connected to whatever it is they wish to be connected to.  They spend years of their lives and thousands of dollars traveling the world or educating themselves or using drugs; all of which fail to answer the most basic question…

Why do I exist?

There is no objective answer to this question, though some answers are more useful than others.  Ultimately, the answer is not something we find, but something we decide upon.  You get to choose what it is that for you is worth spending all the time, the energy, and the love in your life.  The answer isn’t sitting out there waiting for you to find it.  Your life’s purpose is waiting only for you to decide it.

Choose wisely.

  1. Choices and their actions…that’s what it comes down to it.  Great post to reflect upon…and also great CD too!

@Girl_Without_Pity –  Thanks!  And it’s always great to find other admirers of KMFDM.  We’re better than the best. 🙂

I say: Take a long deep think about what you enjoy doing, and I truely believe what you enjoy doing is something you’re good at. Everyone has something. You just need the confidence to discover it inside yourself.
